The latest fruits of Aston’s tie-up with Bang & Olufsen have been announced; the DB9 is now available with bespoke sounds courtesy of the Danish hi-fi wizards.
The BeoSound DB9 option is designed to offer not only concert hall acoustics, but a touch of theatre too – switch it on and the twin Acoustic Lens Speakers emerge silently from either side of the dash.
Apparently the ALT ‘tweeters’ are perfectly placed to to give passengers the ultimate sense of space, staging and realism, and they’re the icing on a fruity cake that includes five mid-range speakers, three further tweeters and three woofers.
The system also features Digital Signal Processing, so adapts automatically to changing road and noise conditions – although we don’t think that means it turns itself off when you’re stretching the growling V12.
The BeoSound DB9 package follows hot on the heels of that offered in Aston's DBS, and further collaborations are planned.
