I'm not sure if this is just on my car or all V8Vs but two thing that annoy me are:
The indicators flash when I unlock the car but do not flash when you lock the car so I have to listen out for the locking mechanism to make sure.
Secondly the electric windows are one touch down but constantly hold for up, why did they not add one touch up?
Is this the same for other owners or do I have a 'special car'

You're right about the windows - same here. On my car you can programme the mirrors to fold in when you lock the car so I suggest you do that. Then you know that you have locked the car.

I dont know for sure but when I bought mine I think the dealer had to programme the key. As he also told me a few porkies this could be total rubbish.

Yes - go into the set-up programme on the audio unit and they will be a box to tick if you want the "fold mirror" option.

Thanks for the tip, I actually found an indicator flash on lock that I ticked so it now works on lock and unlock - I don't seem to have any auto powerfold options in the menu so I guess that's not an option on my car.

if you have powerfold mirrors it can be configured by the Dealer or an Aston Martin specialist to auto close on locking

depends who does it, it only takes a few minutes but you do have to use diagnostic equipment, personally i don't charge for stuff like this, if you have a good relationship with who you use i am pretty sure they would be if not free pretty reasonable,
