It's one for the fantasy garage, this. The Mercedes SLS AMG is already a pretty rarefied beast, but
the new GT3-spec SLS racer
that was unveiled earlier this week is surely going to be an even more unusual and exotic sight.
Unless you happen to be the driver of a Porsche 911 GT3 R in a sports car race that is, in which case this thoroughly intimidating image is quite likely to appear in your rear-view mirror on a regular basis. You'd just automatically move out of the way to let it past, wouldn't you?
We asked Mercedes on Wednesday if we could have one for the PH fleet. Strangely enough, nobody's got back to us yet, so for now we'll just have to gaze longingly at it on our desktops. Something you can do, too...
