Overview
Every generation of 911 to bear the famous silhouette — recognisable from miles away — has had its own twist to the model, bringing it up to date and ushering in a new era of styling or engineering. And the 997 was no different, when its production began in 2004.
While not rocking the boat too much, the 997 did return to the more classic-looking headlight shape which is such a defining feature of the model, and it also brought in a bit more power, and redesigned interior.
The car offered here is unashamedly of its time, with a CD changer and DVD-powered sat nav. But it still manages to look sharp and stylish. The paintwork is excellent for its age, and the interior is showing few signs of its age, so you won’t be worried about parking this car in the posher supermarket car parks.
And this 911 comes with a superbly detailed history file, including extensive service history and even a recent condition report from a Porsche workshop. It has been treated to a whole host of new mechanical parts in recent years and its mileage remains reassuringly low for its age.
So if you’re looking for a proper manual 911 which is in very nice shape inside and out, then this car is certainly worth a bid.
