Overview
Anybody looking for an Impreza will nod sagely when they see the air scoops and the enormous rear spoiler on this car. And when you look closely, you’ll note that the spoiler, body kit and wheel combination apes those of a P1. But they won’t be able to hold back a childish grin when they get behind the wheel and experience this car in all its four-wheel drive glory.
Because this particular Impreza goes beyond the visual nods to its two-door cousin. Hidden in the stack of accompanying service invoices and MOT certificates is a sheet of paper with a very lovely graph on it: one which proudly shows a peak power output of 270 bhp. This is thanks to some exhaust tweaking and ECU reprogramming. The exhaust has since received more attention, and some extra parts are included in the sale.
Also in the document pile is a reassuring number of invoices for parts and servicing over the years. Areas of corrosion have been seen to, WaxOyl has been applied, and brake parts have been replaced as usual.
So if you’re looking for a well maintained classic Impreza with a better-than-standard power output and some nice visual enhancements, this two-litre turbocharged example offers plenty of punch.

Summary
When it comes to Imprezas, for some people blue is a non-negotiable, as is the biggest rear spoiler you can get away with. The combination of modifications here pays tribute to the legendary P1 but beyond that, this is a classic Impreza which has had all the usual weak points addressed and looks to be very well-maintained.
