Overview

Usually, we like to inject a certain amount of humour and joviality into our listings. But some cars are so special, so unique and so incredibly rare, that to treat them with anything but the utmost reverence would seem almost sacrilegious.

Therefore, ladies and gentlemen of the internet, we proudly, sombrely and rather carefully introduce this utterly magnificent Subaru Impreza WRX-STI. Yes, you read that correctly, it’s a Subaru Impreza. But it’s not “just” an Impreza. Oh no. This is the Prodrive P25, a masterwork of engineering brilliance, created by one of the greatest marques in motorsport.

Starting with a “base” car, the experts at Prodrive went about stripping it down to its bare components and, along with legendary designer Peter Stevens, redesigned and optimised every square inch of the body and drivetrain. The end result is as close as you’ll get to a full WRC car for the road, but with carbon fibre bodywork, a stunning interior and the kind of fit and finish you’d expect from a luxury brand. Performance is as gut-pummelling as you’d imagine, with a raft of WRC style technical enhancements resulting in a car delivering “more than 450bhp” and capable of covering the 0-60 sprint in less than 3 seconds. That’s hypercar territory.

Only 25 of these quite bonkers machines were made, only 12 of which were right-hand drive. And, this is the only example finished in Solar Silver, truly making it a 1 of 1.

To make it even more special, should that be possible, this particular car has covered a meagre 145 miles since it left the loving embrace of the Prodrive factory in late 2024. So, in reality, what we’re talking about here is one of the rarest, most sought after performance cars in the world, and it’s absolutely box fresh.

Often, you’ll hear car enthusiasts talk about rarities or one-offs, but this is the real deal. If you want a P25, then your options are already incredibly limited, almost non-existent. If you want one in silver then this is it. Seriously, this is the only option you have. It’s an unbelievable opportunity for someone.

And just you wait until the anti-lag kicks in. It’s… addictive. And neck-snappingly vicious. Just as it should be in a car inspired by one of the all-time great WRC machines.

Exterior

• Shimmering Solar Silver paintwork protected by a matte PPF, displaying in showroom condition with no notable marks or blemishes
• All the bodywork appears as if it’s just rolled off the production line, with well aligned and consistently gapped panels
• Construction is steel monocoque with steel and carbon fibre bodywork, resulting in a sub-1,200Kg kerb weight
• The boot lid, bonnet, roof, sills, door mirrors, front and rear quarters, bumpers, front splitter and the rear wing are all constructed from carbon fibre
• That massive rear wing is styled after the official WRC97 wing
• Exposed carbon fibre bonnet vents and central intake
• Tinted rear windows
• All of the external trim, badging, light lenses and glass elements present as new, with no marks or damage apparent
• Multi-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, finished in gloss black and shod in a matched set of the correct Bridgestone Potenza tyres

Summary

What a thing. Low, wide and brutal in its styling, animalistic in its application of power and legendarily rare – little else comes close to the P25. In terms of car enthusiast Top Trumps, it wins hands-down in nearly every category.

The experts at Prodrive lavished every scrap of their expertise and genius on the P25, and it shows from every angle. From a qualitative point of view, the engineering is unmatched.
