Overview

Sticking firmly to the old adage that ‘there’s no replacement for displacement’, the 6.2-litre V8 engine in this W204 doesn’t need any assistance for turbochargers or superchargers. In fact, this particular example has even been remapped to put out a claimed 510 bhp. That’s plenty in anyone’s books and it has the handling to match.

This particular example is an ‘Edition 125’ model, which celebrates the 125 years since Karl Benz had the bright idea of bolting an internal combustion engine to a chassis and wheels. The Edition 125 comes with the COMAND infotainment system as standard, giving the driver such conveniences as Bluetooth connectivity, satnav, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.

Accompanied by a service history printout from Mercedes-Benz, which shows that this car has received annual maintenance since new, there is also a pile of invoices for work carried out mostly by Mercedes-Benz garages.
