Overview

Wallace and Grommit drive an A35 — admittedly theirs is a 34 bhp Austin A35 van, not the 302 bhp Mercedes-AMG we see here. But at least you can think of them every time you fire up the turbocharged two-litre engine in this Mercedes, and engage the plethora of gadgets and gizmos which come with the car. Touch-screens, voice control, and virtual-reality satnav would certainly get Wallace’s approval as an avid inventor. 

If you’re looking for a five-door hatchback you have plenty of options to choose from. But when you want one with high-end performance your choice narrows. The A35 is a great option if you want Mercedes-level performance and style. And when you add the AMG badge it takes it to another level.
