Overview
Sometimes it pays to be different. In a world of relentless optimisation, efficiency, and unbending corporate targets, it takes a certain kind of company to say they’re going to buck the trend, break the mould, and do things their own way. And it turns out that Porsche is one such company, with their paying customers rewarding them handsomely for it. In fact, sales of the highly unusual Targa have been stronger than anyone might have expected.
In part we can put this down to a nostalgia for the classic Targas of previous decades, but there’s certainly also a part being played by the fact that nobody else is offering anything quite like it. People are clearly impressed by a company which is willing to invest the required millions into developing a Targa-topped 911 which is not only compatible with modern safety standards, but also has all the convenience of an automatically retracting roof panel, as well as the level of interior luxuries customers now take for granted.
The example we see here is finished in a smart shade of grey and remains in superb condition throughout. This is mostly due to the fact that it has been driven less than 5,000 miles since it was built in 2022. And with only one owner, you know this is a car which has led a quiet life.
It’s so new, in fact, that it still hasn’t even required an MOT test, although it was last serviced in Feb 2025. The seats look like they’ve barely been sat in, and the paintwork is pretty much as pristine as they come.
So if you’re looking for the kind of car which can hit 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, and go on to top out at 189 mph, with four-wheel drive, and a whole host of other performance aids, then this Targa 4S is the car for you.

Summary
You’ll probably never tire of looking at that enormous wrap-around rear windscreen, which harks back to the 911 Targas of days gone by. And this is complemented by the phenomenal job which Porsche has done in creating a high-performance drivetrain, which does justice to the car’s good looks. Desirable in so many different ways, this 911 has something for everyone.
