Road-legal Ferrari 360 Challenge Modena Race Car

One of 300 Ferrari 360 Challenge Modena Race Cars produced back in 2000 for the one-make race series. Power remained the same as the road-going cars (400bhp @ 8500rpm) but the rest of the car was heavily re-worked for racing, with weight down to 1170kg including all fluids.
This particular car was imported from Japan in early 2020 by Harlow Jap Autos. Previously, it was raced (in Japan) by K&M Speed/Swift Springs competing in various events and series including the Tsukuba Super Lap battle where it won the N/A open class with a time of 59.386-seconds and subsequently appeared on the cover of REV Speed. Shortly after this, it was then road-registered by K&M Speed in 2009 (hence the later reg) with various aero parts swapped back to the ‘stock’ 360 Challenge Modena parts.
Since it was imported, the 360 has undergone extensive work and preparation by ICS Motorsport in Henley-Upon-Thames. This work includes:
- All service items including oils, filters, fluids (including gearbox), plugs, timing belts, tensioners, uprated water pump and gaskets
- All suspensions components including ball joints, boots, track arms, front/rear track rod arms/ends, anti-roll bar bushes and suspension bump stops
- Camshaft timing marks checked and inspected for wear including replacement of LH/RH cam covers
- Both fuel tanks removed & serviced including replacement of foam, new RH fuel pump and all pipework/lines cleaned and checked
- Bodywork converted to 360 GT front bumper complete with carbon surrounds, splitter, brake ducts and 360 Challenge Stradale side skirts
- 2 x Recaro Pole Position seats installed on sliding rails; Sabelt Ferrari 360 Challenge steering wheel, BBS RE700/701 wheels with Advan A052 tyres, iPE exhaust system (including Zircotec-coated manifolds)
In addition to the work above, a Scorpion tracker/immobiliser has been installed. Being a 360 Challenge car, there is no key – just a kill switch. However, the Scorpion system will not allow the ignition to be engaged without the key fob being detected, and the tracker/app allows movement & mileage to be tracked. Current mileage is just over 12,000km and it’s MOT’d until July 2024.
Latest service was completed in April 2024 and included all fluids, spark plugs and a new throttle potentiometer.
It’s a brilliantly savage thing; few cars match its noise and presence on the road. But please don’t expect this to be a Ferrari 360 with a few trackday bits; it’s a dedicated track car which is why it’s so entertaining on the road and also so useless. It’s loud, super stiff and there’s zero frills bar a magnetic phone holder. Plus, the steering lock is downright hilarious. But while it’s far from an everyday car, it is beyond entertaining even at low speed. Truthfully, I’m only selling because I’ve used it a handful of times in the last year (none of which have been on track) and that seems a shame for such a capable, bonkers thing.
Not included in the sale is the Lasagne (LA54GNE) numberplate. If you’d like the plate with the car, please message for a price. Car can be supplied worldwide and includes the documents required for registration abroad. And any other information I’ve missed – of which there’s lots – please email.
