After a career as a racing motorcycles and cars, Carlo Abarth founded Abarth & C with Guido Scagliarini in 1949. The famous Scorpion badge came from Carlo's astrological sign of Scorpio.

The Abarth name was reintroduced in 2007 and the 500, 595 and 695 are fitting cars to bear the name.
