Furlonger are pleased to offer this Ferrari 550 Maranello, the very car displayed at the London Motor Show in 1999. Configured in the highly desirable shade of Argento Nürburgring over a luxuriously upholstered Bordeaux interior, this 550 Maranello’s specification is further complimented by Scuderia wing shields, Rosso brake calipers, 2-piece luggage set, diamond quilted parcel shelf and headlining, and handy fire extinguisher.

Supplied new via HR Owen London in 1999, this Ferrari 550 Maranello’s primary custodian was the Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who resided in Kensington, London during his time in the UK. Mr Al-Khalifa would use the car sparingly for a just several months before selling it via Maranello Concessionaires to a Mr R.S. Barrow, with an odometer reading of just 664 miles. Throughout its early life, the car would routinely visit Maranello Sales LTD for its annual servicing and maintenance requirements. Further, the 550 Maranello was entrusted to their sales department to oversee its change of numerous occasions, all of which is recorded in the car’s comprehensive history file.

In 2009, this Ferrari 550 Maranello would be purchased with a mere 7,900 miles by a private collector who has cherished the car to the present day. Covering just under 500 miles during his ownership, the 550 Maranello has been used conscientiously in warm, dry conditions, and meticulously stored to ensure its preservation.

In November 2023, this 550 Maranello’s owner contacted Furlonger and requested that we undertake a no-expense-spared mechanical overhaul. We conducted a major service with the replacement of timing belts, cam cover gaskets, cam shaft O-rings, front engine main seal and bearings, and the all-important main coolant hoses in ‘V’ of the engine. Further, we completed an extensive list of additional preparation works, including the replacement of all 4 tyres, which totalled just over £11,000. The car’s mileage was 8,280 at the time, and has since covered under 100 miles.

Now offered for sale with just 8,380 miles, this Ferrari 550 Maranello poses an unmissable opportunity to purchase what is likely one of the finest examples in the world today.
