Mercedes CLK55 AMG (W208)

For sale is my rare CLK55 AMG first registered in the UK on 21 Jan 2000, Reg V893 DLU.

I am the 5TH owner and have had her since July 2015.

A very handsome coupe in brilliant silver (744) with the powerful 5.4 Ltr V8 engine (342Bhp).

She comes with a very large folder of maintenance and service history from main dealer and independent garages, too much to list.

Electric sunroof, windows and heated leather memory seats as standard.

Optional extras added to this car Command with wired phone which currently still works on provider 02.

Rear sun blind and additional boot locks.

In 2015/2016 I replaced all brakes & discs with OEM parts and had the bodywork brought back to scratch by John Card of Plymouth.

The windscreen was replaced a few years ago.

A couple of items that are not working are the headlamp washer and drivers seat side bolster.

Last serviced 18 May 2023 at 128064 miles which was a Service B and brake fluid change and the Service A is due in 6800 miles.

MOT’d until 08 Apr 26 which she passed albeit with a number of advisories.

In my time I have really enjoyed her and in 10 years have driven 25K miles.

Recent items replaced are Blower Unit (Jul 23) but aircon not working and a battery supplied by ATS (Oct 22)

Section of exhaust and gaskets replaced with stainless steel tubing and sleeves (May 22)

However the main problem this type of car has is corrosion and although ready to drive and enjoy she really needs an enthusiast to take on a restoration project to bring her up to scratch (See pictures) including corrosion in the boot therefore an asking price of £2750 ono.

Included in the price is a new unused front wing purchased from Mercedes (£274) and a set of monoblock alloys which were originally on the car, as you can see the centres are in very good condition but all four have lacquer peel on the rims.

Mileage will go up slightly as I will still drive her.
