EXTERIOR

The Pastel White paintwork remains in good original condition throughout with the correct pinstripes and decals still in place. The Autosleeper pop-top roof works perfectly with no signs of damage or wear; it has solid sides, sleeps an extra two, and one side can be lowered independently to give elevated views. All the light clusters and plastic trims around the van remain in great condition, and an Omnistor Light awning is fitted for covered outdoor space.

INTERIOR

The whole interior is very original indeed and certainly charming. The velour upholstery is in superb condition with no excessive wear to report, and the cabinetry housing the appliances is all still in place and as it should be. The carpets and headlining are excellent, and the dash is perfect. New seatbelts have been installed at the rear for added passenger safely and at the front there is a Sony CD player fitted for modern convenience. Other than these sensible upgrades we have not seen many campers as original as this example – a real treat for the enthusiast.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

With only 66k miles under its belt this T25 Autosleeper drives very well indeed. It fires up quickly and idles very smoothly even from cold. The 1.9-litre DG petrol engine has an ample 78hp, and it’s mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Recent mechanical work includes a new starter motor, fuel lines, clutch master cylinder, and an engine service including spark plugs.

HISTORY FILE

Jemima, as she is affectionately known, was first registered in December 1988. She has driven just 66k miles in the last 37 years and the current V5C shows only 5 former keepers. The accompanying History File comprises the original Southern Cross Campers document wallet with all handbooks, the original VAG service book (stamps listed below), a raft of invoices, MOT certificates, various instruction manuals, and a spare set of keys.

The last service was carried out in July 2024 and more recently the van has been treated to a new starter motor, speedo cable, clutch master cylinder, stainless steel exhaust system, an engine bay fire suppression system, and proper rear seat belts. For additional peace of mind, a Habcheck motorhome service report was also completed in July last year.
