2009 BMW ALPINA D3 BITURBO TOURING FSH ONLY 37,000 MILES
Fantastic opportunity to acquire a family owned Alpina D3 BiTurbo Touring with incredibly low mileage and documented service history.
Features the torquey and responsive 2.0 in line four cylinder twin turbocharged diesel engine, driving the rear wheels via to six speed automatic transmission which can be used in normal automatic mode, switchtronic mode, or actuated on the optioned M Performance steering wheel by either the thumb buttons or rear paddles.
Originally a demonstrator registered by Sytner Solihull in March 2009, this was purchased direct from this dealership by my parents in April 2009, ahead of the three months the car was supposed to be used as a demonstrator. It has covered a modest 37,110 miles from new.
Finished in Titan Silver with Dakota grey half leather interior, featuring Alpina-specific interior trim including speedometer, numbered plaque, steering wheel emblem, floor mats and door entry trims.
It is furnished with the period correct set of Staggered 19" Dynamic Alloy wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, all with excellent tread. The Alloys were refurbished in 2019 by We Restore Alloys before the car was taken off the road where it has remained garaged since.
The specification is standard issue and was tightly governed by Alpina in this model year, but aside from the M Performance steering wheel also features Brake Energy Regeneration, Sports Seats, Satin Silver Interior Trim, Rear PDC, Cruise Control, Professional Radio with Bluetooth connectivity, M Sport Suspension and Anthracite Head Lining and trim package.
Accompanying the sale is the Alpina Specific owners Handbook, The Alpina Supplementary Owner Handbook, and the separate book pack for the M Performance Steering Wheel. As well as this, there is a folder documenting recent services and invoices, as well as the standard jack/tookit/locking wheel key and three alpina specific keys.
The vehicle is in excellent condition, having been used sparingly until 2019 when I purchased it from my parents. I used it for a short period until the start of the COVID pandemic where I garaged the car in a modern construction dry garage and have not used it since.
The car was last serviced in September 2024 (a full 10 miles ago) where the service was completed at Arnold Clark BMW Kirkcaldy, including brake fluid service. I confirmed at this point that all safety recalls had been done, and have confirmation of both the battery terminal and heater blower cable recalls were performed in October 2019.
I had originally planned to sell the car last year, so had it MOT'd 12 miles ago in May 2024 where it passed with no advisories. However, a change of circumstances meant the was has again been garaged since (apart from its recent trip for a service). I have once again had it MOT'd for sale (again with no advisories) - it now comes with MOT valid until 16th February 2026.

13 March 2012 - 15731 Miles
Service Records show service work for
21 June 2011 - 13387 miles
18 December 2013 - 18159 miles
26 May 2015 - 21237 miles
25 April 2018 - 27371 miles
27 September 2024 - 37100 miles (Additional paperwork with service done according to Alpina specifications)
There are a range of other invoices for items at local garages including front brakes, tyres and front suspension units. I have copies of all the historical MOTs
I have a full V5 in my name showing 2 former owners, and I have the previous V5 in my father's name showing 1 Previous owner - and as this was an older style certificate it shows the name and address of the one previous owner to him being Sytner Solihull who registered it new on 12 March 2009.
Condition wise, it is something of a time warp. The interior is excellent, the car feels incredibly sharp to drive, power delivery and gearchange are very smooth indeed. Body condition is excellent for the year with one or two small scratches and a regulation number of stonechips across the front bumper and bonnet. For those of you who may know the raised kerb parking that used to exist on South Street in St Andrews (Fife, Scotland) a long time ago - this unfortunately was raised higher than the lowest point of the Alpina splitter which had scraped it. When the car came into my ownership I had this scrape Smart Repaired however I think the new owner would likely treat the car to a full front end respray by a BMW approved bodyshop in order to bring it back to 100% condition. The wheels still look as good as they did when they left refurbishment (mainly as I hardly used the car from that point) and I have a receipt for a replacement set of the genuine Alpina tyre valves that were fitted at this time. The car this week has also just had a very expensive Start Stop AGM Battery fitted at a cost of £240, to go alongside its fresh MOT.
This Alpina is an understated yet immensely appealing practical example of an enthusiasts marque. Returning 45mpg, offering main dealer fixed price servicing, and being of the lowest mileage I can find outside of any museum examples; this Alpina D3 BiTurbo Touring is as good a daily hauler, B road blaster, motorway cruiser as it is for slinging bags (and dog) in the back and getting away for the weekend.
I am selling this car privately as it has been my own personal car for the last 7 years. Therefore I don't offer any sort of normal part exchange facilities like you would get at a dealership or used car sales garage. That said, I do run a BMW Used parts sales business these days, and I am always interested in buying stock for that business. If you did have a lower priced BMW that is potentially suffering an ailment of some sort (Normally on the VCAR register, accident or body damage, engine issues, problems with rust, expired MOTs or any other issues that prevent the car from being part exchanged conventionally) let me know and I may be able to offer towards it at a trade/salvage value.
If you have any further questions send me a message via whatever messaging service this sales platform allows. I'll be able to keep track of your messages, reply with the relevant information etc. I'm not generally a fan of the telephone and as such haven't provided my details for it.
Alpinas of course have a specific appeal to a niche market, and I understand if you've got to this point then you're likely to be one of those people. I've researched the price points of both available and sold vehicles on outlets such as autotrader, collectingcars, pistonheads and whilst I've been unable to find an example with such low mileage as this I feel I have priced the car very keenly at £13,495.
The car is in Fife, Scotland and I would welcome any genuine buyers or those wishing to have a professional inspection done on the vehicle prior to any purchase. Any test drives would require proof of comprehensive cover for this particular car, with no scope for an alternative. I simply refuse to be responsible for taking any risks with this, and I hope you will appreciate my reasoning for it (as i'm sure you'd want to be if you were in my position.)
I'm in the fortunate position of the car being near a vehicle lift so I can let you see underneath the car as well as around it. In the mean time I can link you to a google drive folder of over 120 photos of the car and its standard/optional specification VIN decode document on request too.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
