MAZDA MX-5 HARVARD 1997
Many years ago we sold a Lotus Elan S4 to a gentleman who had been commissioned to find a Lotus for a Japanese car company who wanted to build a modern day Lotus Elan. The result was the Mazda MX5!
The Harvard is based on a standard 1800cc model and was named after the famous US college in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Only 500 units were made between May and September 1997 and cost £17,495.00 when purchased new
This special version was finished in Silver Stone Metallic and sported 15" alloy wheels, Pirelli P6000 tyres and locking wheel nuts
The interior was trimmed in luxurious burgundy leather with grey piping. The centre console featured walnut 'effect' trim complimented by a Momo leather steering wheel. Further enhancements included unique Harvard burgundy floor mats and a chrome cockpit brace mounted behind the seats.
Standard equipment also included a security immobiliser, power steering, scuff plates, Clarion CD player and a high level stop lamp
This magnificent very rare (unrestored) rust free example has covered only 19,000 miles from new and must be the best available.
