Sunday saw us heading over to a brand new Sunday Service venue - MMR Performance at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground - and what a great first time event it was! It may have felt a little like winter again, but this didn't dampen our spirits and the day saw some incredibly interesting cars in attendance.
We started the day off with some food and tea, of course, especially needed for the brave chaps in the Caterhams and an Ariel Atom(!), who I can only imagine were quite wet and cold... Then once bellies were filled, there was the chance to see MMR's shiny new workshop and showroom, as well as the car park filled with lovely metal.
I think there may have been the greatest variety of cars I've seen for a while at this Sunday Service; we had the Nankang Ford Mustang which wouldn't look out of place in Mad Max, not one but two Lamborghini Huracan Performantes, a couple of lovely Mazda RX-7s, a Noble M600 and a crazy Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R to name a few.
Meguiars attended with their very cool ex-police cruiser and gave five lucky PHers a goodie bag for being one of the favourite cars of the day. These cars were: a Shelby Mustang, a Phase 1 Clio V6, a Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2, a 1967 Autobianchi Panoramica and a Tommi Makinen Mitsubishi Evo VI. All of which are thoroughly deserving of recognition - congratulations!
So, was our first Sunday Service with MMR Performance a success? Absolutely. Do we want a second date? Most definitely. Thank you to MMR for putting on such a fun morning, and to all the PHers that came along, too.
Our next Sunday Service sees us returning to Denbies Vineyard on May 13, get yourself signed up here!
