A few years ago, Harley-Davidson was toying with a three-wheeled bike (

), with the two-wheeled bit at the front.
Unlike with a conventional trike, these were designed to lean with the rest of the vehicle, allowing the rider to go about his or her business in the traditional 'bikey' manner, and aiding stability and cornering.
But although Harley went so far as to file patent drawings and even built a few prototypes, the Penster, as it was dubbed, never made it to production. We can't work out why...
Apparently the Penster, the prototypes of which were created in 2006, now lives in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee, should you fancy it...
