Perhaps it was having had the PH YouTube productions away for so long, but there was something especially nice about Dan P's recent Evo VI Rise and Drive video. The combination of car, location, weather and presenter (obvs) came together to create what we'd class as, well, a really good vid.
The desire for a Tommi Makinen hasn't abated one bit in the following weeks, either. Therefore, with PHer 'adam.' having recently updated his 'Evo 6 is Life' ownership thread, we couldn't feature anything else this Saturday as Reader's Car of the Week.
His story begins in 2016, with the purchase of the Evo from the Isle of Man. Since then it's undergone not just the upgrades you might expect - wheels, brakes, exhaust - but also the best bits of a donor VI as well. From 'E6 YOB' Adam's car received, amongst other things, a roll cage, the rear diff and steering rack from an RS, plus a pair of Recaros.
All was well with Adam and his stunning Evo, right up until a recent track day Brands Hatch... But we'll leave that bit of the story to him, and share more of his lovely pictures. All that's left for us to say is bravo on creating such a specimen - hope it's back in rude health soon!
