It's hard to think of a car better suited to the first lightly lifted lockdown drive than a Morgan. It's about as feel-good as automotive experiences get, with the kind of emotive look, sound and sensation seldom found in any contemporary sports car.
This week's Morgan drive was more significant than most, too, as it was in the new Plus 4. Originally intended for a Geneva launch, followed by a Barcelona drive program, the latest CX-based Morgan hasn't had the easiest time of it lately. But it's here now, promising to recreate much of what the larger Plus Six so impressively delivered, only in a smaller and four-cylinder-powered package.
An embargo prevents us from divulging any more about the drive until Wednesday, but we are free to share the pics of Morgan's lovely teal press car. This was the very Plus 4 taken to Geneva to be on the show stand, only for it to be turned around and driven back to Worcestershire with the expo's cancellation. So it's lived quite a life already. Rest assured, too, it looks just as good in real life as it here in wallpaper form. Don't forget to check back on Wednesday!
